Shell bomb arrests made

Arrests have been made in connection with a bomb which was found outside Shell’s head office in Dublin last September. It was believed the device was used as part of a protest against the controversial Corrib gas pipeline.

Those arrested include a 16-year-old boy who was detained after the home of a prominent republican was searched in Killester this week, where gardaí found what they believe to be components of an explosive device. The republican himself was not arrested.
