A series of activities and information events examining our attitudes and behaviours in relation to alcohol and drug use will be launched on Monday, November 7 and will run until November 11.
Dr Suzi Lyons, a senior researcher with the Health Research Board, will be one of the main speakers at Sláinte, a seminar to explore the relationship between Irish culture and alcohol consumption, which will take place on Thursday November 10 in Hotel Ballina.
The awareness week is the initiative of the Western Region Drugs Task Force in partnership with South West Mayo Development Company and Mayo North East LEADER Partnership.
