The GAA Oral History Project aims to record the fullest possible picture of what the GAA has meant to the Irish people, in their own words. To date the response from Mayo has been very good and in the final stage of the project the object is to get as many people as possible from around the county to complete and return a questionnaire. This can be done either electronically or manually. The questionnaire is available at www.gaahistory.com or by phone from 01 6625055. The completed questionnaires can be returned electronically, if possible, to [email protected] or by post for hand-written ones to GAA Oral History Project, Boston College – Ireland, 42 St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2, Dublin.
The project’s aim is to have a minimum of 10 responses from every club in the country, in order to ensure that every club is equally well represented in the project archive which will be made available through the GAA Museum. The project is open to any member of the public to input views, memories or opinions, etc, in the above manner. Indeed all inputs are especially welcome.
