Following on from the release of their debut EP The Ho! Ho! Ho! Stamp late last year, Dublin-based but Mayo-rooted indie pop band Story of Hair released their debut album Cheap Rate at the tail end of last month, with a Hallowe’en show in Whelans.
The 14-track album has been picking up good critical and public reaction in the Irish Music scene and may propel them to the top of the Irish music scene. The band is back boned on the rhyhm and bass sections with Castlebar natives Paul Brett on bass and Ger Staunton on drums. Their album was produced by Steve Shannon at Experimantal audio studios in Dublin. Story of Hair were recently seen live in Castlebar when they played at a recent Finbar Hoban Presents event.
