Mayo Sports Partnership is to host an activity, accessibility, and healthy lifestyle themed conference on Thursday October 6, in the TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar, from 9.30am to 4pm.
The day is aimed at all people with a disability as well as their parents, carers, and organisations so that all can understand the value and the benefits of being physically active.
With the Sports Inclusion Disability Programme going from strength to strength and participation level increasing all the time the day is an opportunity to sample some of the activities that are now accessible to people with a disability, and also to move to the next level of understanding the benefits of exercise and the value of being physically active.
Minister of State for Sport and Tourism Michael Ring attended the conference launch and supported the efforts of the partnership in making people aware of the importance of being active. If you are interested in attending the conference log onto www.mayosports.ie and download an application form or call Ray McNamara, Mayo Sports Partnership, on 094 904 7023 or email [email protected]
