The Courts Service is to sign over the former courthouse in Ballinrobe to Mayo County Council.
That is according to Minister of State for Tourism and Sport Michael Ring who expressed his wish that the council would be able to utilise the building for the people of Ballinrobe.
“The property is part of the history of Ballinrobe town and I am delighted that the Courts Service is now going to hand it over to the county council, and I hope that they will use it wisely,” Minister Ring said.
