Ryan welcomes new water scheme for Cong

Councillor Damien Ryan welcomes the extension of the Lough mask water scheme from the Neale to Cong.

Work on the construction of this line will begin within weeks. This will involve the construction of seven kilometres of pipeline from north of the Neale village to Lisloughrey in Cong. This work, which is soon to commence, will be at a cost of €1.1 million and will involve the upgrading of the Neale/Caherduff water scheme.

Cllr Ryan said: “This is a huge investment of water services in the area and I have worked tirelessly on this project. In a time of cutback, I am delighted to see this work commencing.”
