Mayo clubs in Connacht Junior Cup action

A total of 16 Mayo teams will be in action in the Connacht Junior Cup this Sunday with all ties kicking off at 2pm. Bangor Hibs, Clew Bay United, Conn Rangers, Ballyheane, Glenhest Rovers, Snugboro United, Fahy Rovers, Kilmore, Ballyvary Blue Bombers, and Ballyglass will all be in action at home. With Killala, Partry Athletic, Newport Town, Ballina United, Moy Villa, and Straide and Foxford United all hitting out across the province in search of a place in the next round. Charlestown Athletic will make the trip to Ballyheane in a local derby as will Achill Rovers who head to Snugboro United, Mulranny United will go to Fahy Rovers as do Hollister who have a short trip to Kilmore, and Crossmolina who go to south Mayo to face Ballyglass.

Manulla soccer blitz

Manulla FC is holding a mini fun blitz for players born 2004, 2005 and 2006 on Sun October 2 at 11am. Players will only play on their age so a player born in 2004 can only play with the 2004 team. Any club with players registered in these age groups and are interested in taking part should contact Damien Joyce on 087 6145745 for more details.

Kickstart 1 soccer coach education course in Ballyglass

The FAI is holding a Kick Start 1 coach education course in Ballyglass FC on Saturday November 19 from 9am to 5.30pm. Participants must attend all modules of the course in order to qualify for certification. This course is designed to assist beginner coaches, parents, teachers introduce young children (six to nine ) to fundamental warm up activities, basic activities, and fun games in a safe, structured, and stimulating environment. Ireland v Armenia tickets

Tickets are now available for collection, as soon as possible, as any uncollected tickets must be returned to the FAI five days before the game for the Republic of Ireland v Armenia game in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, October 11. Patrons should be advised that the game kicks off at 6.45pm. A small number of tickets are available for sale, they can be purchased by contacting Pat Quigley at 087- 2519260
