It is that time of the year again when the bowling leagues commence at Mayo Leisure Point.
A handicap singles league commences on Monday September 19. It takes place on Monday nights at 8pm and Wednesday nights at 8.30pm; you choose which night suits you best. The league is open to both men and women, beginners and experienced bowlers as it is on a handicap basis. The league will run for approximately seven weeks and is a fun and enjoyable competition.
Ladies’ morning singles league is also starting on Monday September 19 and takes place every Monday morning at 10am and Wednesday mornings at 10.30am. This league is for all ages of women, whether they have ever bowled before or not, and is a more social league with tea and coffee served afterwards.
Bowling for juniors (five to 15 years ) will commence on Saturday mornings October 1 from 11am to 12 noon for a reduced fee of €4 per child. No booking is required. All abilities of bowling are welcome as basic coaching will be provided.
The Trios league will commence on Monday November 14 at 8pm. This league is a team event of three players, again it is on a handicap basis and so is open to beginners and experienced bowlers.
