The team at HealthWest Community Pharmacy in Ballindine last week won the JCI Mayo Friendliest Business Award 2011. Since opening in June 2007, HealthWest Community Pharmacy has gone from strength to strength.
“We have a strong customer focused team, and that is the key to any successful business,” says proprietor pharmacist and Castlebar native Ultan Molloy. “We know that our customers are the lifeblood of our business and make every effort to guarantee that every visit to us is a pleasant, engaging and satisfying experience for them. Customers value our professional healthcare advice and attentiveness, and as many are ill walking through the door, we aim to have them feeling more upbeat when they’ve ended their visit to us,” he explained.
“No one’s custom is taken for granted, especially given these difficult economic times.”
The pharmacy has extended its services to include a visiting chartered physiotherapist, Eamon Molloy, and chiropodist/podiatrist Leonie Hegerty O’Brien, as well as dietician clinics with Heather Miller. “We are in a rural setting, so we will look at providing any service which will make things more convenient for our patients.”
The food intolerance testing clinic and weight management clinics at the pharmacy have also been highly subscribed with customers from near and far.
Sharon Coen, Martha Egan, Marie Gibbons, Andrea Coen and Niamh Keating make up the team at HealthWest. “The girls are fantastic. It’s their efforts in keeping our standards high that has won us this award, and I thank them sincerely for that,” said Ultan.
