Three year driving ban for drunk driving and no insurance

A Polish man who gave a urine sample with a reading of 245mg of alcohol per 100ml of urine after he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving was given a three year driving ban in Ballyhaunis District Court this week.

Jan Kozlowski of 15 Rosebury Court, Knock, Co Mayo, pleaded guilty to the offence which was detected on the Knock Road, Ballyhaunis, on February 1 this year. Kozlowski also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on the same date and was given a two year driving ban to be served concurrently with the one imposed for the drink driving offence, he was also fined €250 for having no insurance.
