The go-ahead has been given to Mayo County Council to commence the process of erecting single rural houses at Cloongee, Foxford; Gurteenamuck, Foxford; and Cashel, Charlestown.
Mayo County Council received no submissions or objections to the proposed project which is ready to go to tender.
A meeting of the Swinford electoral area committee was told this week that funding is also in place to start the project with tenders expected to be advertised in the middle of this month.
