Treating coughs, colds and flu - what's the alternative?

During the autumn and winter season many of us fall prey to a host of viruses such as sore throats, coughs, colds and flu. Particularly when the kids go back to school in September, these common illnesses can get passed around quickly. Homeopathy can be very effective at treating these illnesses, while at the same time strengthening your overall health and immunity.

The Irish School of Homeopathy will be running a ‘Get Started in Homeopathy’ workshop in Galway this September. The workshop is ideal for those who would like to use homeopathy at home for themselves and their families. The course will be given by Thérèse Cosgrove. Ms Cosgrove is a registered homeopath and runs her practice in Athenry. “I started using homeopathy myself after I attended an introductory workshop with the school,” says Thérèse. “I found it so effective for home prescribing I went on to do the practitioner course.” Thérèse Cosgrove has been in practice now for 10 years.

During the workshop, participants will be taught how to prescribe for common acute complaints such as coughs, colds, flu, and minor injuries such as strains and sprains. Also covered are remedies for teething, stomach bugs and exam nerves.
