Bond Cafe in Ballina is the perfect setting for a bite to eat. The cafe opened in April of this year when Mari Cambridge, a Mayo native, returned to Ireland from the UK. Ms Cambridge has vast experience in the food businesses — nine years running a French deli in Kent, which specialised in French, English, and Irish cheeses, and nine years strictly catering directly for both corporate and private clients.
The cafe is situated about a one minute walk from Dunne’s Stores in Ballina in a beautiful cobble stoned, south facing courtyard setting; the perfect location to enjoy any sun that may shine. Ms Cambridge has totally refurbished what used to be an old bonded warehouse into what is now an inviting, relaxing, space to enjoy the fresh food on offer in a continental style cafe setting.
Apart from breakfasts, light lunches and afternoon tea, she offers hot specials for lunch on Saturdays and steak on the stone on Saturday evenings.
Any of the food from the menu can be also be taken out for your own dining pleasure. Absolutely everything is cooked from scratch, using local ingredients where possible.
An outside catering service has also been launched to cater for any celebration and the cafe can be booked as your own private party venue, available any day or evening of the week including Sundays by prior booking.
All the food, whether for a birthday, confirmation, pre/post wedding party, or other family occasion, can be discussed and agreed in advance, taking into consideration the client’s budget.
The cafe also has a wine licence to provide wine, and in some circumstances clients can bring their own beer when they are part of a party booking. Book your events for next year now to avoid disappointment.
