The Minister of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan will be in Crossmolina, Foxford and Cong today (Friday ).
The Minister is due to unveil a plaque in honour of the thousands of Bellacorrick Bord na Mona and ESB workers at 1pm in Crossmolina. He will then travel to Foxford for the launch of the Mayo Shopfronts booklet and an exhibition of photographs from Pontoon and Foxford 1911-1914 at 3pm.
Following that Minister Deenihan will be in Cong to officially open the Quiet Man Festival at 7pm where he will be joined by Minister of State Michael Ring and Hollywood actress Maureen O’Hara.
