An exciting Star Party has been organised as part of the 2008 Mayo Science and Technology Festival. This is a fantastic opportunity for all amateur astronomers and those interested in learning more about our planets and solar system to come along to a talk hosted by Professor Alan Fitzsimmons of the Queen’s University Belfast’s Department of Physics and Astronomy on Saturday November 8 at 8.30pm at the Old Bridge, Burrenmore, Castlebar (weather permitting ).
This is the second year of the Mayo Science and Technology Festival, which culminates on Sunday November 9 with a fantastic Science in Action family open day in the TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar. All events are free.
