Is your club/organisation planning to submit an application for Lotto funding in 2009? If you are then you should attend a workshop on Monday November 10 at 8pm in the Mayo Education Centre which will guide you through the ins and outs of filling out an application form for this scheme. Joe Butler from the Mayo Football League will guide participants through the process.

Want to become a leader in recreational sport?

A course in leadership training which will develop participants’ communication, organisation and group management skills will take place on the weekend oF November 28 and 29 in Ballyhaunis.

The course is designed to suit people of all abilities and wilL take place on the Friday evening from 7pm to 10pm and on the Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

A nominal fee of €30 is to be submitted along with the application. The qualification is fully recognised by the Irish Sports Council and Sports Council of Northern Ireland. Interested in volleyball?

Under the Mayo Sports Partnerships initiative along with the Volleyball Association of Ireland this programme hopes to provide quality opportunities for people of all nationalities to participate in the game of volleyball. All participants are required to be over 18 and a cover charge will apply.

Volleyball will take place in Breaffy Sports Hotel from 7pm (contact Louise on 086 408 3033 ); in Foxford Sports Complex TBC (contact Michael Quinn-Baille on 086 841 5305 ) and in the Kiltimagh Community Centre from 8pm to 10pm on Mondays (contact 086 841 5305 ).
