The sixth race in Mayo AC's C&C Cellular 2011 Road League is at Claremorris on Saturday August 27 at 12 noon. The entry fee is €15, you can enter online at www.runireland.com or on the day from 10am at race HQ in the Dalton Inn Hotel near the race start/finish on Main Street. There will be prizes in each category, spot prizes for fancy dress and for runners, walkers, and fundraisers. Tea/coffee and sandwiches will be available to all participants at the Dalton Inn Hotel following the race.
The course is certified by AAI; and is an out and back course, with a loop section at half-way. Water stations will be located at the three mile mark and at the finish area.
The current league leaders after five events are. Men: Matt Bidwell (GCH ) 98pts, Anto Devanney 75pts, Roger Barrett (Ballina AC ) 73pts, Timmy Glavey 64pts, Robert Malseed 62pts, and Martin Conroy (Sligo AC ) 50pts. In the ladies’ section it is: Mary Gleeson 123pts, Colette Tuohy 92pts, Cathy Connolly 88pts, Angela O' Connor 86pts, Chris Gallagher 74pts, and Ann Murray 70pts.
