This summer why not participate in a summer camp which explores your creative side.
The Mood Gallery is offering camps where you can make ceramic masks using different materials, hand painted sun catcher, decorate jars for flowers, and create holiday picture frames using decoupage technique for decoration.
All camps are easy to follow and are suitable for children aged six to 12 years. The next camp takes place on August 8, 9, and 10 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at a cost of €50 per child including all materials.
Family discounts also apply offering 10 per cent off for two children, and 20 per cent for three children. A discount also applies if you book two weeks of summer camps.
During the camp of August 15, 16, 17 participants will make dream catchers, jewellery (surfer type for boys ) and decorate flower pots.
Let your children expand their imagination while having lots of fun at the Mood Gallery camps.
Instructors will lead the children step by step to create something nice and colourful and truly handmade.
Creative Tuesdays - after school
Enjoy creative Tuesdays at the Mood Gallery where the goal is to create a suitable location and atmosphere to ensure that the young people of Castlebar and its environs can present their achievements, realise their dreams and aspirations, develop talents, and learn more about the world of art and crafts.
Drawing, painting, sculpture and other artistic techniques, are explored during creative Tuesdays where children make useful objects suitable for inclusion in a calendar (something for Christmas, Hallowe’en, St Patrick’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc ). Various techniques, different methods and different materials are used in class but the most important aspect is the development of imagination.
The work of creative Tuesdays is presented at the end of the artistic season where the young artists and their families are invited to an exhibition.
Look out for the adult crochet and jewellery making classes commencing in September.
