The much acclaimed Irish film The Guard starring Brendan Gleeson is being screened on Achill Island as the Cinemobile, Ireland’s travelling cinema, returns to Mayo for its summer visit to the county. Cinemobile is strongly supporting Irish cinema with a host of Irish films screenings this summer with screenings of The Guard, Jig, One Hundred Mornings, and The Runway. Jig is a highly acclaimed documentary on the Irish dancing championships held in Glasgow last year. A must see for all.
One Hundred Mornings directed by Colm Horgan is an Irish feature and a fascinating study of how human nature reacts in extreme situations. Cinemobile will be at the Pier car park in Keel, Achill, today July 22 through to Sunday July 24. Cinemobile is also screening Bridesmaids and Transformers in its Mayo tour.
