A man in his twenties was before Castlebar District Court this week for the possession and for the unlawful sale or supply of drugs.
Gardaí, who received information from a source, searched the home of Adrian Browne, Kilboyne, Castlebar, on September 17 2010.
During the search cannabis resin worth €1,096 was found, the bulk of which was located in a plastic box behind the defendant’s shed. Cannabis herb worth €8, which was in a smoke box, was also handed over to the gardaí by Browne.
The defendant admitted that he smoked cannabis, but also said that he supplied it to his friends
The 24-year-old, who has no previous convictions, was remanded on continuing bail by Judge Mary Devins to October 19 for a probation report.
