A Czech national who has been living and working in Ireland for the past two years was disqualified from driving for two years at Ballyhaunis District Court this week.
Garda Alan Ryan told the court that he stopped Philip Kucera, 23 Hazel Hill Downes, Ballyhaunis, driving a car on March 27 this year at 4.10am at Hazel Hill, Ballyhaunis. Kucera said he would produce the documentation at Ballyhaunis Garda Station in 10 days, which he failed to do.
In court Kucera pleaded guilty to driving the car and having neither insurance nor a licence to do so. For driving without insurance he was convicted and fined €600 and disqualified from driving for two years, and for driving without a driving licence he was fined €100.
