Mayo is fast becoming the conference capital of Ireland with the expected announcement tomorrow (Friday ) of two major conferences for the county.
There will be a major boost to the local economy later this year as two significant conferences will take place in the county — the National Adventure Conference and the Irish Coast Guard Officers in Charge Conference.
Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism, and Sport Michael Ring is expected to announce these conferences today (Friday ).
Both of these conferences will take place in November.
They come on the back of the successful 11th Mayo World Convention which took place in Westport in May and the equally successful US/Ireland Legal Symposium, both of which attracted hundreds of visitors to Westport and provided an invaluable opportunity to showcase Mayo at its best.
