The Great Western Greenway has been awarded the 2011 European Destination of Excellence for Tourism and the Regeneration of Physical Sites by the EU.
Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport Michael Ring will officially present the award on Friday July 8 at 11.45am.
The award ceremony will take place in the Mulranny Park Hotel.
