More than 300 people have visited the constituency office of Mayo Dáil deputy Dara Calleary this week to sign a book of condolence for the former minister for finance Brian Lenihan.
Mr Lenihan lost an 18-month battle with cancer last Thursday and was laid to rest in Dublin on Tuesday.
In response to a number of requests from people from across County Mayo, Dep Calleary opened the book of condolence on Monday morning and a steady flow of people from across the county and across the political divide have called to pay their respects to the late Mr Lenihan.
The book of condolence remains open today, Friday, and will be forwarded to the Lenihan family on Monday.
