Ballina Braves AGM
The AGM of Ballina Braves Basketball Club will be held in the Sean Duffy Community Centre, Ardnaree, on Monday, May 30 at 9pm. All interested in the future of Ballina basketball are asked to attend including players, parents and supporters. Items for decision include the question of participation in the senior National League for the forthcoming season as well as competition for under age players.
Charity soccer event in McConville Park
A five-a-side soccer competition is to be held on May 29 in McConville Park, Westport. Teams of seven and entry fee is €70 (€10/member ). It is a one day competition and all proceeds go to Aware, supporting individuals and families affected by depression in Ireland. Contact Elaine on 086 1912 485 if you wish to put a team together.
Charlestown Athletic FC u10s
Training will commence for u10s (boys and girls ) at Bellaghy Park on Saturday May 21 at 4pm. All players are to ensure they have shin-guards and water. Anyone wishing to sign for this group can do so at this training session. The club is also seeking coaches/managers for the boys’ u14 and girls’ u16 teams. If any parent or interested people are committed and available on Wednesdays (u14 boys’ matches ) and Tuesdays (u16 girls ), contact a club member for more information.
Moy sports soccer tournament
Moy Sports Forum will hold a five-a-side soccer tournament on Wednesday, June 29 and Friday July 1 at 5.30pm in Cluin na Ri, Ballina. This event is open to people 15 to 25 years old and costs €10 per team. To register a team for this event or for further details contact Ann Ronayne on 087 697 3587. Registration closes on Wednesday June 22 at 4pm.
