A drunk man who was abusive to shop staff after he was refused the purchase of alcohol was before Ballina District Court this week.
Gardaí were called to the shop on March 14 2011 at 8pm as Michael McDonagh, 6 McDermott Street, Ballina, was abusive to staff who would not let him buy alcohol.
The 53-year-old, who has previous convictions, has not been in Tesco since the incident and has been off alcohol since March.
Judge Mary Devins remanded him on continuing bail to November 22 for sentencing.
