Students put pen to paper for Write A Book project

Over 500 students were involved in the process of composing, designing and publishing their own books and were recognised for their endeavours at a presentation in the Mayo Education Centre in April.

Well known local author Terry McDonagh presented the pupils with certificates and prizes. Easons were the sponsors of this novel initiative.

Participating schools swap books so that children have the opportunity to read and discuss material written by their counterparts.
