Music Generation, the U2 and Ireland funds supported National Music Education Programme, has announced that Mayo has been selected for participation in the first round of the programme. Over the next three years Music Generation will award a total of up to €1.6 million to help children and young people access vocal and instrumental tuition in their local areas.
Mayo Music Education Partnership aims to co-ordinate music services within the county, to ensure equity of access in developing music education opportunities for all young people.
