A Balla woman was convicted and fined a total of €400 at Castlebar District Court this week for not paying two parking tickets.
Traffic warden employed by Castlebar Town Council, Lorcan Cribbin, outlined that on November 8 2010, he placed a parking ticket on the car of Louise McGreal, 13 College Woods, Balla, after he noticed that she had no parking disc displayed on her car which was parked in the Market Square Car Park. The parking ticket fine was not paid.
On November 18 the same car was parked on Ellison Street with no parking paid. Mr Cribbin issued another parking ticket, however, this was not paid.
McGreal was not in court, nor represented.
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined her a total of €400.
