Statistics from Met Éireann show that Belmullet experienced the highest daily sunshine in Ireland last month, when on April 29, 14.1 hours of sunshine were recorded.
However, Belmullet also had an above average rainfall accumulation for the month, some 133 per cent above. Claremorris also experienced more rainfall than normal for the month— 146 per cent above its average. The highest total of rainfall in the country of 91mm was recorded last month in Claremorris.
