June 4 sees the return of Tri-Burgh to Louisburgh. With more than 200 competitors it is sure to be a great day for all. Building on the success of the 2010 event organiser Robert Henaghan has expanded the appeal of the race by adding a sprint option so people can take part as individuals or teams over the two distances; Olympic or sprint. The distances include a swim (1500/750m ) bike (40/20km ) and finally run (10/5km ). Full details of the course are available on www.triburgh.ie
Tri-Burgh is a community based not-for-profit race which is proving hugely popular with people both from home and abroad. This year people are travelling from the UK, Belgium, and Switzerland in addition to a strong local contingent. Billed as a family friendly triathlon there is lots to keep children occupied during the race with special events arranged making Louisburgh the ideal place to spend the Bank Holiday weekend.
