The licensee of a bar in Cong was before Castlebar District Court on Wednesday, after patrons were found on his premises after closing.
Gardaí entered Pat Cohan’s, Cong on October 25 2010 at 5am where there were approximately 10 people on the premises. There was fresh drinks in front of these people.
The licensee, John Connolly was not present that night. The court heard that his brother in fact allowed these people on the premises after the bar had been closed.
Connolly has two previous breaches of the licensing laws.
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined Connolly €700 and endorsed the licence.
