A man who, after a fight with a friend, punched and kicked panes of glass in a Ballina bar, was before Ballina District Court on Tuesday.
A garda reserve observed Gary Moyles, 30 Ferran Terrace, Ballina cause criminal damage to the American Bar, Tone Street, Ballina on January 23 2011. The defendant was then pointed out to gardaí on Pearse Street at 2.12am.
Moyles admitted that he caused the €120 worth of damage after an argument with a friend. No compensation has been paid.
The defendant was given a suspended sentence last November and Judge Mary Devins remanded the defendant on continuing bail to May 10 for mention, to find out the date when the judge who imposed the suspended sentence would be sitting in the district again.
