The brilliant Julie Feeney performs at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Wednesday May 4 at 8pm. Julie Feeney is a true musical phenomenon. With two highly critically acclaimed, award-winning albums, 13 songs and Pages to her credit, in the past year she has performed everywhere from Glastonbury to The National Concert Hall in Dublin, to China, France, England, America and all over Ireland, all to rave reviews. Receiving massive radio airplay in all quarters, her song “Impossibly Beautiful” was selected for a major TV and radio commercial, and she featured on the RTÉ One documentary special The View Presents Julie Feeney. Ballinrobe Folk Group live in Castlebar
The Ballinrobe Folk Group performs at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar on Thursday April 21 at 8pm. Founded in 2002, the Ballinrobe Folk Group began as a small group of enthusiastic music lovers who wished to uplift and inspire through the medium of music and song within their local community. The group has grown from strength to strength and now numbers 35 from Ballinrobe and surrounding areas, performing a diverse range of musical styles encompassing Celtic traditional, gospel and contemporary music. The group has performed in many churches in south Mayo and their monthly performances at the first Saturday evening of the month in Ballinrobe Church are attracting an ever-increasing audience.

The knitting circle will run from 11am to 1pm and is suitable for anyone from seven years and older.

Gemma Hayes brings Irish tour to Castlebar
Gemma Hayes has announced a very special Irish tour where she will be playing songs from her much anticipated fourth studio album Let it Break, due out in May.
Long established as one of Ireland’s top musical talents, Gemma’s latest album is an evolution of her unique style of music, combining prog rock, folk and electronica. The album is another collaboration with producer David Odlum, and features Paul Noonan of Bell X1 and Ann Scott, among others. Catch Gemma live around the country this summer. She will play the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on May 25 with tickets costing €15.
