A woman who crashed her car into an oncoming vehicle, which was full of wedding guests, was convicted of careless driving at Castlebar District Court this week.
On May 1 2010, at 5.30pm gardaí were called to a two car traffic accident at Kilnock, Breaffy.
Christina Ralph, 30 Hollow Grove, Castlebar, who was making a right turn, collided into the path of an oncoming vehicle. This vehicle was conveying wedding guests to Breaffy House.
Injuries were sustained to passengers in the two vehicles.
The 39-year-old, married, mother of two, has no previous convictions.
Judge Mary Devins reduced the dangerous driving charge to that of careless driving and the judge convicted and fined Ralph €500.
