A sum of €40,000 has been allocated from Mayo County Council’s Low Cost Safety Fund for improvement works at the entrance junction to Claremorris Golf Club. The works will help to alleviate what has been described as the “dangerous situation that exists there for many years”.
The funding has been welcomed by local independent councillor Richard Finn who submitted a notice of motion to Mayo County Council requesting that these works be done this year.
