Saturday opening has been a major success for Ulster Bank in Castlebar since the initiative began in September 2010. Castlebar is one of 45 Ulster Bank branches across Ireland where Saturday opening has been available since September last year.
Opening branches in the main towns and cities on a Saturday was just one of a series of commitments Ulster Bank made to its 1.9 million customers in September 2010.
“We are delighted that customers are responding so positively to our efforts to make their banking easier and fairer,” said Ulster Bank’s Castlebar branch manager, Caroline Costello. “We are now opening on a Saturday because our customers told us that they would find it helpful, and the results to date, where over 1,200 customers have visited us on Saturday, show us that this is proving to be the case. Extending our weekday opening hours has also provided additional flexibility for our customers who told us they wanted more convenient banking.”
