The management and staff at Mulranny Park Hotel are celebrating after the hotel received two industry accolades for excellence as a wedding venue and its responsible approach to the environment.
Mulranny Park Hotel was a finalist for Wedding Venue of the Year – Connacht in the recent WeddingsOnline.ie Awards. WeddingsOnline.ie is Ireland’s largest wedding directory and its annual awards honour businesses that continually go the extra mile for brides and grooms and which have a proven commitment to outstanding customer service. This accolade by WeddingsOnline acknowledges Mulranny Park’s dedication to best practice as a premier wedding venue.
The hotel received a second award from the Green Hospitality Awards programme for its environmental performance. Mulranny Park Hotel achieved Eco Label status after setting a target to reduce its environmental footprint where possible and to reduce carbon emissions by reducing energy consumption, preserving scarce water resources, and minimising waste production.
The Green Hospitality Programme is an environmental certification standard for the hospitality sector. It is recognised both nationally and internationally as a set of standards that allow hotels achieve good environmental performance. It allows visitors to choose a greener hotel, knowing that defined criteria are being implemented and monitored.
As a Green Hospitality Eco Label award winner, Mulranny Park Hotel is acknowledged as encouraging the protection and promotion of local biodiversity, buying locally where possible and inspiring its guests to adopt a responsible approach to the environment without reducing the quality or enjoyment of their visit. Employees are encouraged and trained to implement and practice good stewardship in to reducing the waste of scarce resources.
