A well-esteemed staff member of Westport Civic Offices passed away on Wednesday morning.
Mary O’Grady, wife of senior executive officer Martin Keating, began her career in Mayo County Council in 1976 and moved to the Westport Area Office in 2003.
The monthly meeting of the town council which was to take place on Thursday evening was cancelled as a mark of respect, as was the Environmemtal SPC which was to take place on Friday.
Sympathy has been extended to Martin Keating on behalf of her colleagues at the Westport Civic Offices.
The funeral will take place today (Friday ) at 3pm in St Patrick’s Church, Aughagower, with burial after in the adjoining cemetery.
