A book by Maggie Heston called Mother’s Whispers will be launched on March 17 at Nevins, Newfield Inn, Mulranny, from 8pm.
The sale of the book will enable those with special needs to travel on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje.
Music on the evening will be by Jerry Flanagan and South Connection.
Food and wine will be provided on the evening and a disco.
A bus will leave Castlebar to Nevins at 8pm, from Casey’s Filing Station.
All money raised in the area will stay in the area.
The first pilgrimage will take place on July 10 2011 from Ireland West Airport Knock to Medjugorje. Seven nights half board is €599 per person inclusive.
The second pilgrimage to the Holy Land will leave on October 29 2011 from Dublin. Eight nights on a half board basis costs €1,249 per person sharing.
A full medical team will travel on the pilgrimages — Dr Jerry Cowley, quality personal assistants and carers.
