Valuable opportunity for business start-ups in the west

Positive news stories are a scarce commodity these days but the GMIT Innovation in Business Centres (IiBC ) in Castlebar and Galway have an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to start their own business. The new Midlands and West Enterprise Programme (MWEP ) can help, and an open evening will be held on Wednesday March 23 at 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

Supports include free desk space with broadband, business strategy and planning, access to industry and research expertise, opportunity to apply for one year salary substitute grant (from Enterprise Ireland ), managed office services, free mentoring, and much more - see www.gmit.ie/iibc/mwep html

The IiBCs have helped create more than 150 jobs since their foundation, €16m funding raised, 13 HPSU (high potential start-up ) companies created, 17 successful spin outs, innovation vouchers and partnerships implemented.
