If you are looking for something different and want to get back in touch with some traditional Irish dancing then this could be the thing for you. In Campbell’s Tavern, in Cloughanover, Headford, starting next Tuesday March 2 at 9pm there will be sean nós dancing classes for beginners and improvers which will run over six weeks.
The classes will be given by Marian Ní Chonghaile (Marian Conneely ), originally from Camus, a small village in Connemara. She will be heading to Malawi on March 10 for eight days to take part in a celebration of Irish and African music, which will take place in the Irish Embassy on St Patrick’s Day. The beginners’ classes will start at 8pm with the improvers’ at 9pm. The course costs €50 per person and for more information you can contact Marian on 086 8533397.
