Fine Gael Leader, Enda Kenny, told a rally in Ballina on Saturday that this was the most important election in Ireland in 50 years.
Deputy Kenny, accompanied on a walkabout of the town by election candidate, Cllr Michelle Mulherin, received a warm welcome when he addressed a large crowd on Pearse Street.
