A man who was threatening and abusive to staff and customers of McDonald’s in Castlebar was sentenced to six months in prison at the district court this week.
Gardaí were called to McDonald’s on February 8 2011 at 6.20pm where Vincent Joyce, Castle Lucas, Ballyglass, who was intoxicated, was observed to be abusive to staff and patrons.
The court heard that the defendant was given a six months jail sentence, suspended for one year at a court in July 2010. Judge Mary Devins revoked the suspension and sentenced him to six months in prison. Joyce was also convicted and fined €300 for being threatening and abusive and sentenced to three months in prison concurrent.
