A Kiltimagh man who exited a nightclub in Ballyhaunis and called gardaí sitting in a nearby patrol car “f**king wankers” was fined €300 in Claremorris District Court this week.
Garda David Donnelly told the court that he was sitting in the patrol car outside Monsoon night club in Ballyhaunis on January 24 2010 at 2.12am. He told the court that Sean Carmichael of Woodcabin Flats, Main Street, Kiltimagh, walked out of the club and turned around to the Garda car and shouted “f**king wankers” three times, he then walked through a group of young people standing on the footpath.
Garda Donnelly went on to say that he got out of the car and called after Carmichael who took off running, forcing Garda Donnelly to chase after him before he arrested him. Carmichael pleaded guilty to the charge in court.
