The licensee of a pub in Ballycastle which had patrons on the premises at 2.10am was convicted and fined €450 at Ballina District Court.
On September 12 2010, gardaí entered the Seaview Lounge, Ballycastle where six people were present in the bar and two people were in the lounge. There were drinks in front of the people.
The licensee, Frank McNamee, was not present that night, however a barperson told the gardaí that the people were waiting for a taxi.
There was an unconscious man on the ground, the gardaí were told “he came in that way”.
McNamee has one previous breach of the licensing laws.
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined him.
