Many children are very confident these days. Encouraging your children to be confident is important but sometimes children can easily move from confidence into trying to exert control over parents. A six week course on Parent Assertiveness is being held by the Family Centre at Chapel Street, Castlebar starting on Thursday February 22 at 8pm.
The course will look at ways in which parents can teach children to be respectful and follow direction without allowing themselves to be compromised. The course will examine how parents can be assertive, direct and open without being aggressive.
