The Carers Association nationally launched their pre-election manifesto, virtual photo campaign, and petition on Thursday, February 3.
Additionally, The Carers Association Co Mayo Outreach Programme has organised a “Carers Meet the Candidates” evening for next Thursday, February 10 in the TF Royal Hotel at 7.30pm where family carers will have a question and answer session with local candidates. The session will be facilitated by Teresa O’Malley from Midwest Radio. All family carers who can make it are encouraged to attend.
There are 5,440 family carers in Mayo. These carers have a direct effect on the lives of at least one other person which means a minimum of 11,000 voters are effected by these issues.
