The licensee of Pat Cohan’s, Cong was before Castlebar District Court this week after 10 people were on the premises after closing time.
On May 21 2010 at 12.45am Garda John Doherty entered the public house where as he entered 10 people were present. There were glasses and half pints on the tables.
John Connolly, the licensee was present and said that the crowd, who had come from a birthday party, were waiting for a bus to collect them.
Connolly (47 ) has one previous breach of the liquor licence.
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined him €500.
